For 25 years I have lived and gardened with the sea at
the bottom of the cliff. The waves regularly hit the
rocks below and the salt spray hurls itself over the
long suffering hedges into the garden.
Over the years I have become acquainted with an ever
increasing number of unusual, exotic and colourful
plants which thrive in the warmer coastal conditions,
while being very well equipped to deal with the wild
and salt laden winds.
With careful consideration given to the placing of
shelter, these plants can be positioned so that they
will soon happily establish and give a lush and
exuberant garden very much in keeping with their
maritime environment.
